Belfast City Council has long been a great patron of the arts, from murals to animation they strive to commission work from a variety of creatives. Always with the aim of reflecting the integral importance of the arts to not only the city’s past, but its ever evolving present. 

After a thankfully casualty free fire located in the city centre, foot traffic from the busiest street in Belfast had to be diverted to various smaller side streets. Belfast City Council embarked on an ambitious project to rejuvenate these newly busy areas with large scale illustration installations. UsFolk was brought on board to bring the council’s ideas to life, and match these exciting concepts with the perfect illustrators; Conor Nolan, Cathal Duane and Tara O’Brien. The resulting series of vinyl installations have brought new life to the streets, and become local landmarks in their own right. We never get tired of seeing them on our walks to the UsFolk studio!
