Comic Carnival at Victoria Square

A unique and exciting opportunity was presented to UsFolk when Victoria Square got in touch, expressing interest in working together on a series of special events aimed at families and children. These events would be based around the arrival of Spring, and with it a fresh new season for Victoria Square. The concept behind Comic Carnival was developed with these themes in mind, as well as the young target audience. Our design team knew that with her charming and distinctive trademark style, rich in its relationship with colour and brimming with splendid character design, UsFolk illustrator and published illustrator Danni Gowdy would fit this project brilliantly. In response to the brief Danni developed a bespoke range of characters which, combined with her hand rendered type, made for a brand identity which was perfectly tailored to the event. These visuals were implicated across a wide range of media including posters, signage, standees, t shirts and more.
